I will bring my bench shirts (Titan F6).
Do you do board training on bench press? |

I saw he lift 300kg and thought he could lift more.
By the way, what do you mean by board training? You put boards on your chest when benchpress? I've seen some do that to strengthen the lockout of the benchpress. |

Yes, in board training, a lifter performs the bench press with 1, 2, or 3 boards on his chest. It builds lockout strength. I do board training almost every week. In fact, I rarely bring the bar all the way to my chest in a shirt during training. Before a competition, I will do 1-boards. If I can bring a weight down to the 1-board, I can bring it to my chest. |

Though we don't use boards when benchpress especially in a bench shirt, some do the sets with partial reps nothing on the chest. But we do that to get used to heavier weights in a shirt.
Your way is really interesting and it's worth trying. It would prevent bench shirt from being damaged. I will try and tell the members of our club. Thank you. |

I'll be very glad to show you how we do board training. Unfortunately, I cannot bring our boards from the U.S. Can you prepare some boards? I can give you instructions by email on how to make boards or I can show you an internet site with instructions. |

I've found some boards in the gym. They may be a little bit bigger and wider, in fact they are square, than normal boards. But I tried using them when benchpress, and guess I can use them. |

Those boards will be okay as long as they are not too wide and as long as they have some kind of handle. One person should hold the board in place while the lifter is benching. The handle should be long enough so that the board boy doesn't get his hands crushed under the bar.
